An exploration in being kinder to yourself.

Hi,
I’ve always had more ideas than I could keep to myself — the kind that pop up at random and demand a place to land. By day, I work in the corporate world, but I craved a space where creativity could run free.

It all began with a children’s book about my dog, Otis, which sparked something bigger. Along the way, I started focusing on my mental health and leaning into what I call the “cozy soft rebellion” — a slower, kinder way of living that still leaves room for passion and play.

Fickle Flashes was born from that mix: a home for my 20 million ideas, from books and stickers to planners and curated finds, all shared with the hope they’ll spark a little joy (and maybe a few ideas of your own).

But I’m not doing this alone — meet my creative partners, the Fickle Flashes Crew:

• 🐾 Otis – The Cozy Companion
  My first dog as an adult and the heart behind my stories. A true goldendoodle personality — goofy, sweet, eager to please, and always in search of a cozy spot and a good snack. He’s in his later years now, so I treasure every moment (and every page) we get together.
  Represents: Cozy spaces, comfort, slowing down, savoring moments.

• 🐾 Naomi – The Soft Rebel
  My smart little workhorse and soul dog. She does the heavy lifting behind the scenes — dreaming up ideas, carrying the hard stuff, and reminding us what really matters. Naomi spots the nonsense, calls it out, and quietly rewrites the rules. She’s proof that you can work hard and live gently, with boundaries that protect your peace. Represents: The cozy soft rebellion — intentional living, mindful boundaries, mental health, and finding joy outside of hustle culture.

• 🐾 Mabel – The Playful Spirit
  The youngest by just eight months, but packed with quirks. She hides under tables, twirls when she’s excited, and greets you with face-licks like it’s her superpower. Mabel keeps things light and reminds us to find joy in the little things.
  Represents: Fun, whimsy, embracing quirks, and a bit of delightful chaos.
